economic and community development using technology
I have over 10 years of experience designing and developing websites for corporate and nonprofit organizations. I specialize in custom application development, online advocacy, and online communications.
Prior to founding Albert Mae, I worked as an Online Communications Strategist for Communities In Schools, an online editor for Ms. magazine, and the Director of Internet Strategy for Montgomery County Council member Duchy Trachtenberg. My clients have included AOL, The Washington Post, The White House, Futures Group, Northern Virginia Community College, FEMA, and Children’s Defense Fund.
Using technology to create valuable local resources – in business, education, and government – is key to ensuring the sustainability of a community through social, political, and economic progress.
I currently serve as the principal consultant at Albert Mae, a leading economic and community development consulting firm. Albert Mae partners with government agencies, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations in the following areas: economic development, community development, real estate and housing, human services, and education.
Through my work with Leadership Lane, I help individuals develop a strategic pathway designed to build effective personal, professional, and community leadership skills. I also work to encourage citizens to participate in the shaping of their futures through civic engagement and the practical application of sustainable development strategies.
